Why does the rectifier transformer heat up?

The heating of the rectifier transformer is one of the faults in the process of operation. If it is serious, it will affect the service life of the equipment. There are many reasons for the heating of the rectifier transformer.

1. Overheating caused by iron core, winding and eddy current of rectifier transformer. In the process of using rectifier transformer, due to design, quality of raw materials, technical level and operating conditions, rectifier transformer may generate heat.

2. Overheating caused by poor contact of metal connectors.

3. The flat magnetic field of the rectifier transformer causes the connection bolt to overheat.

4. Overheating caused by poor heat dissipation or the cooling effect of the rectifier transformer.

5. The power of the rectifier transformer is seriously lacking or overloaded for a long time, resulting in serious heating of the rectifier transformer.

6. The enameled wire is damaged during the winding process, causing the rectifier transformer to short-circuit and heat up.

7. The grid voltage fluctuates too high, resulting in saturation of the rectifier transformer.

8. The components connected to the output end of the rectifier transformer are short-circuited, causing the rectifier transformer to generate heat.

9. The magnetic permeability of the silicon steel sheet of the rectifier transformer is low and the loss is large, which causes the rectifier transformer to heat up.
