Analysis of why electric furnace transformer loss is low

The iron core of the shell type electric furnace transformer is a frame structure with full oblique joints. The iron core has a narrow width, good heat dissipation conditions and a simple structure. In engineering, the proportion of additional losses in the load loss reflects the technical performance and economic performance of the equipment .The additional loss of the equipment is smaller than that of the equipment of the same specification, mainly because of the following points:

(1) The winding of the shell-type electric furnace transformer adopts the structure of multiple leakage flux groups, and the number of leakage flux groups is flexible and changeable is one of the main features of the equipment. When the single capacity of the equipment increases, the number of leakage flux groups also increases. However, if the capacity of each leakage flux group does not increase, the leakage flux density, the ratio of the axial short-circuit force of the equipment and the additional loss will not increase, and local overheating will not occur.

(2) The long side of the rectangular winding of the shell-type electric furnace transformer is surrounded by the iron core, and the leakage diffusion space of the exposed winding is small, so the additional loss is reduced.

(3) Since the winding is surrounded by the iron core, there is a corresponding shielding effect, and the stray loss of the fuel tank is reduced. In this way, the total loss of the equipment is reduced.
