Salt-bath furnace refers to an industrial furnace that uses molten salt solution as a heating medium to immerse a workpiece in a salt solution for heating. According to the working temperature of the furnace, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, barium chloride, sodium cyanide, potassium cyanide, sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate and other salts are generally selected as the heating medium. Salt bath furnaces are divided into two types: internal heating type and external heating type. The internal heating salt bath furnace is divided into electrode salt bath furnace and electric heating element salt bath furnace.

The salt bath furnace transformer is a special equipment for providing low voltage and high current power supply to the salt bath furnace. The transformer is matched with the electrode type salt bath furnace, and it is also divided into single-phase and three-phase. (3) The windings of the dual water internally cooled transformer are made of copper tubes. The copper tubes can be cooled by water, and the cooling effect is good. In use, it should be equipped with circulating water cooling installation to save water, and never cut off the electricity.

The heating speed of the salt bath furnace is fast and the temperature is uniform. The workpiece is always heated in the salt solution, and the surface of the workpiece is attached with a layer of salt film when it is released, so it can avoid the oxidation and decarburization of the workpiece. The salt bath furnace can be used for quenching, annealing, tempering, cyanidation, aging and other heat treatment heating of carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel, die steel and aluminum alloy, etc., and can also be used for less oxidation heating during fine steel forging.
